Chronology of cameras Certo

The Super Sport Dolly, or Dolly Super Sport, or SS Dolly, are the top models of the Dolly series. Their performance, equipment, and finish level placed them in direct competition with models from Zeiss Ikon.
These are automatic opening folding cameras. They are to be used with 120 film (6 x 6 and 6 x 4.5 negatives) or, for certain models, also with a plate (model B).

The name Super Sport comes from the large aperture of the lenses and the maximum speed of the shutters associated with them. In the late 1930s, Certo added a rangefinder and an extinction meter.

The lens/shutter block is interchangeable, and a telephoto lens can be used in place of the standard lens. Some models have an exposure table on the back that protects the non-actinic windows. Inside the door, there is even a notepad.

The patent for the device allowing the shutter to be changed dates back to 1929.

The patent for the focus compensation system for the use of plates dates back to 1934.

__________

This model retains the features of the Dolly Super Sport C with the addition of a coupled rangefinder. Units produced from 1938 onwards include an extinction meter in the rangefinder body. At the beginning of production, the rangefinder body was black with angular corners; later, it was chrome-plated with rounded corners.
